    Job Description*

    Associate, Brand Capital International

    • Work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager to develop overall business development strategies.
    • Contribute to all aspects of deal flow: from sourcing, screening and evaluating new investment opportunities to assisting with due diligence, deal execution and closing.
    • Qualify potential client partnerships through excellent rapport and a consultative approach.
    • Leverage existing network, ongoing network development and online research, and stay current on ventures across geographies to identify new business resources.
    • Conduct industry intelligence gathering, including tracking of news, highlights, financing and M&A to build a more data-driven approach to deal flow and portfolio hiring.
    • Build and maintain financial projections and valuation models for companies under investment consideration.
    • Draft investment memorandum incorporating market research, due diligence outcomes and return analysis and develop customized.
    • Actively support the existing portfolio companies.
    • Develop customized, client-focused presentations and present to key decision makers.
    • Engage the VP in a timely manner to ensure consistent, professional outreach efforts.
    • Contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the company.

    Job Qualifications

    Qualifications Required:

    • Master’s degree in business administration, Finance or Marketing preferably MBA
    • Previous internships, work or consulting experience in lead generation or business development.
    • Previous experience within a venture capital or private equity firm preferred.
    • Demonstrated success winning new business.
    • A proven track record of meeting/exceeding business objectives.
    • Experience working with senior level management.
    • Previous experience creating customized, creative presentations (PowerPoint, Keynote) and financial modelling
    • Ability to discern applicable business needs and form strategic partnerships.
    • Extremely professional, polished, communication style both verbal and written
    • Understanding and interest in overall strategic business operations and how all the pieces come together.
    • Sense of urgency, initiative and motivation – thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Sr. Corporate Venture Capital Manager, Exits and Acquisitions

    Opportunity
    Brand Capital International is looking to add a senior manager to the venture investment and business development team that will specifically focus on supporting exits from our portfolio. The candidate will play a key role in sourcing and evaluating potential acquisition opportunities, building relationships with other financial entities, and supporting portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in the venture capital industry and hold connections to a wide variety of financial institutions, investors and understand how to create opportunities for the Brand Capital International portfolio to gain exposure for exit opportunities.

    • Responsibilities
      Source, identify, and analyze new investment opportunities by working with the team to expand its co-investment and corporate partner ecosystems.
    • Develop investment theses and deep dive on specific technology areas with subject matter experts to understand who might be an appropriate investor for each company.
    • Perform research and analysis of new markets, technologies, competitive landscape, and share findings to the team.
    • Evaluate and perform due diligence on potential exit opportunities, including preparing investment memos and presenting to Brand Capital International leadership.
    • Execute new and/or follow-on financings, including deal structuring and financial modeling.
    • Assist and support portfolio companies.

    Engage with the VC/entrepreneurial community.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in business administration, finance or marketing, preferably an MBA
    • 5-7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 year’s experience in Venture Capital
    • Strong connections and contacts within relevant financial and venture communities that can support portfolio companies, through introductions and exposure
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Familiarity and passion for core technologies
    • Fluency with data manipulation, financial models, cap tables and presentations
    • Must be a self-starter, solutions oriented, comfortable working with minimal oversight and taking on new tasks on-demand/as needed

    Job Description:

    BCI is seeking to hire a Summer Associate/Intern to work with both the Investment team on a full-time basis, with a potential option to continue on a part-time basis after the summer season upon mutual agreement. This role is ideal for someone who has extensive marketing experience, especially with social media; enjoys engaging with a variety of entrepreneurial and investment ecosystems; has international experience; and is looking for a broader role in a growing international organization. Scope of possible work will include:

    • Contributing to the company’s deal flow pipeline by attending events on behalf of BCI to source potential investments, connect with other potential investors, and by leveraging their own existing network;
    • Assisting the investment team with the screening of potential investments;
    • Conducting industry intelligence gathering, including tracking of news, highlights, financing, and M&A to build a more data-driven approach to deal flow;
    • Conducting online research to stay current on ventures across geographies to identify new business resources and opportunities;
