Business Development Executive – Special Projects
As BCCL Worldwide, Inc.’s Business Development Executive for Special Projects, Aryamika Bhatia aids the San Francisco Bay Area’s team in expanding Brand Capital’s investment pipeline and enhancing outreach through social media, brand communication, and on-the-ground events.
Her major in economics from Boston’s acclaimed Wellesley College, and further expansion to MIT’s Sloan School of Management lends to Aryamika’s expert knowledge in Economics and Branding. She works at facilitating partnerships with potential business partners and government officials; strategizing ways to expand Brand Capital’s investment in U.S. based startups; and finding solutions.
President of Alpha Phi Sigma, and Treasurer of the Slater International Student Organization at MIT, Aryamika created a series of empowering dialogues for her peers to attend, as well as managed international funds for prestigious ventures. Additionally, she was Vice President of the Psychology Club, giving a further humanitarian spin on her data-heavy education. This humanitarian spin is where Aryamika finds her passion for relaying between enriching the real-world experience of Brand Capital founders and portfolio companies, and the synergistic landscape of investment economics.
Aryamika spearheaded the Brand Capital involvement in this year’s ASU GSV summit in San Diego, a convention dedicated to creating positive change through the educational and technology space, further meshing her love for education, human experience, and limitless entrepreneurial endeavors.
Dominic Noble serves as an Analyst at the Toronto branch of BCCL Worldwide Inc. With a demonstrated background in engineering, economics, and finance, Dominic is able to shore up the East Coast investment team. Dominic engages with early founders; plans and builds investments and strategic campaigns; sources successful partnerships; and takes great pride in working hand-in-hand with the founders on their launch into the Indian market.
Dominic is originally from South India, and pursued engineering and economics at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani, India. There he found great love for the creativity that comes with economics, and quickly moved to Paris to pursue a MS in Finance, which he finished out in Singapore. In Singapore, Dominic worked diligently at Solera Partners, a private equity firm, before moving back to India to pursue investment banking at MAPE Advisory Group as an analyst. His mentor, CEO of Adani logistics, encouraged Dominic’s further growth into corporate strategy, business development, and successful investments.
His passion for venture capital investments ignited his move to Toronto, where he pursued a second Masters, an MBA from Schulich School of Business. During his MBA, Dominic was instrumental in conducting the first ever Venture Capital Conference in his school, bringing the VC world to his peers at the university. At that point, his pathway to Brand Capital International was clear and concise; he’s truly passionate about helping founders realize their dream, achieve growth and initiate their expansion into the Indian market.
In his spare time Dominic is a student of military history and continuously expands his creativity and ideations as a reader of great writers, such as Fyodor Dostoevsky and Ernest Hemingway.
Shambhavi spearheaded Brand Capital’s expansion into Canada. Based out of Toronto she oversees Brand Capital investments across Canada and is actively engaged in leading cross border investments and advisory for startups wanting to scale internationally.
With 13+ years of experience in venture capital investments, operations, and business strategy across US, Canada and India, she brings a deep global network and outlook to her portfolio companies. She has been instrumental in executing high value VC investments across Consumer Tech, BFSI, Retail, Health and Travel.
Her previous work experience includes strategy and business consulting at McKinsey and IBM. She has led several international consulting engagements for Fortune 500 companies towards global expansion and scaling.
She is passionate about gender inclusion in entrepreneurship and actively supports women led ventures. With her roots in India she consciously endeavors to support education for young girls.
Shambhavi is an adventure seeker at heart and enjoys hiking, motorcycling and is an avid fitness enthusiast.
As an Associate for Brand Capital International (BCI), Maxwell conducts initial screenings of potential investment opportunities, supports investment due diligence processes, prepares market research, and assists with other corporate strategy initiatives.
Prior to joining BCI, Maxwell worked in venture capital at GSV Asset Management, in private equity for Brand Capital as their third team member, and The Times Group’s Vice Chairman’s Office.
Maxwell is a multi-award winning graduate of Menlo College, Silicon Valley’s private undergraduate business school, with a B.S. in Finance. In addition to frequently appearing on the Dean’s List, Maxwell was also the recipient of the prestigious Judge Russell Award, which recognizes the student who best exemplifies the character, leadership, and service to Menlo’s business management program. During his time at Menlo College, Maxwell also founded and managed the Pioneer Club, a private entrepreneurial club for serious-minded entrepreneurial students. Pioneer Club members engaged with start-up founders backed by VC firms like Khosla Ventures for the purposes of mentorship and getting internships, hosted private networking mixers with famous speakers like Guy Kawasaki, and also received private coaching to develop their various entrepreneurial skills. The Pioneer Club was voted “Club of the Year 2018” by the student body, and Maxwell was also awarded “The Outstanding Oak Award” for Outstanding Leadership by Menlo’s faculty and administration.
Outside of BCI, Maxwell is working on his first book under the mentorship Guy Kawasaki, enjoys golfing with friends, is a devoted Bay Area sports fan, is learning Hindi, and serves as officer on Menlo’s Alumni Council.
Kiran joined Brand Capital in 2017 as one of the early team members, and found his strong suit in a switch from strictly asset management industry to venture investments space. Kiran takes the lead on investments, proposals, and synergistic relationships with founders, companies and partnerships.
Kiran has earned a Bachelor’s in Commerce and Accounting from Gujarat University, before moving on to receive an MBA from Ahmedabad University, India. Kiran spent several years at AIG Investments & LIC Nomura Asset Management Company, managing investment portfolio for institutional investors. Kiran went on to earn an M.S. in Investment Management at St. John’s University, New York.
With his background in economics, business, and investment management and years of on-the-ground experience, Kiran is able to provide data-driven financial analysis and a strong sense of strategic direction to potential Brand Capital investments, and current portfolio companies. His knowledge of, and curiosity to stay updated about the tech sector and emerging industries only adds to Kiran’s ability to help the portfolio companies.
Kiran loves spending time with his wife and family and playing with his wonderful niece. He is a foodie who enjoys a home cooked meal as much as he likes exploring new restaurants. In his free time, he likes to read about finance and investments, or enjoy a good game of cricket.

As Head of Brand Strategy at Brand Capital International in Silicon Valley, Neha Kothari Ranavat is part of the leadership team that pilots US operations of the strategic investment arm of India’s largest multimedia conglomerate Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL). Neha has a demonstrated history of working in the investment management industry, with over 15 years of marketing leadership experience with deep experience growing brands in every category and channel.
At Brand Capital International, Neha — skilled in partnerships — plays a dynamic role as brand solution strategist. She aligns cross-functional teams between corporate communications and brands, while connecting founders with viable brand solutions throughout the various facets of multi-media channels.

She has launched several highly effective integrated marketing brands, as well as taken U.S. based companies to their next level of growth in India. Piyush Puri leads the Brand Capital International team in Silicon Valley as Vice President of BWI, the strategic investment arm of The Times Group – India’s largest multimedia conglomerate. Before leading Brand Capital’s US office, Piyush was an investment banker in Mumbai, India focusing on investments in the energy, ancillaries, and the environment spaces. He also served as an investment analyst in Hong Kong where he closed deals in energy space, specifically in wind, thermal, hydro, solar, and gas-based power. Piyush received his degree in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), has an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a Master’s Degree in Psychology of Leadership from Penn State University. Additionally, Piyush is also a Financial Risk Manager.
Neville is the President of BCCL Worldwide Inc based in the San Francisco Bay Area and part of the leadership team that leads the US operations of media conglomerate Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL), The Times of India Group. An early adopter of the consumer internet & digital landscape, Neville has a proven track record of building and running online businesses for traditional media publishers & online media companies in Emerging Markets of India & South Asia.
A Certified Executive Leadership Coach, he has held several Senior Executive Leadership positions at Microsoft Corporation, Yahoo! Inc., Publicitas, Mid-Day Multimedia Ltd & The Time of India Group.
Neville has been the Co-founder, past Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) in 2004 & 2005. In 2011, 2012 & 2013 he was included in the annual Campaign India ‘A’ list which showcased leaders in advertising, marketing & the media Industry in India. IMPACT Digital 100 List of personalities 2012 & 2013 included Neville in the list of leaders who have contributed to the growth of digital in India.
